On the 12th October, 2017 the rehabilitation centre UPA was awarded for employing innovative and energetically effective “Made in Germany” technologies. Only five buildings in Lithuania were presented with this award!
“The cooperation between Germany and Lithuania in the field of energetic effectiveness has been continuously regarded as successful for many years“, – says Florian Schröder, CEOGerman-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (AHK). “These five buildings have proved Lithuanian market to be attractive for German companies and to have specific sales opportunities“. The presentation of the achievements in the field of energetic effectiveness should enhance the cooperation in this sector.
The main distinguishing features of the mentioned buildings are the German technologies , such as: geothermal heating systems, facades, lightening systems and ventilation equipment. These technologies improve the micro climate in the buildings and the smart operational systems, quality and innovative building materials and technologies ensure sustainable and economical energy consumption. The buildings as well as employed technologies were introduced during the awarding event..
The presentationof the projects on the best German practices in Lithuania was organised by German –Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia,Latvia and Lithuania (AHK).It is one of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy projects for export promotion initiative.Since 2007 this initiative has been supporting projects in Lithuania and has successfully helped small and medium-sized enterprises from Germany to establish contacts with businessmen from Baltic countries.
